The second property in Kerala took me to the beach… Niraamaya Surya Samudra is just 16 kms from Trivandrum Airport, Kerala and and in the coastal hamlet of Pulinkudi.  The property sits dramatically on a cliff between two pristine stretches of beach.

Wow Factor

This resort  which started off  as being a German guest house, combines all Kerala elements from urulis and multi layered kal vilakkus to Kerala murals, to the hilt. I just loved the ethnic ambience the resort has created with water bodies, flowers, murals etc.

Vivid Kerala murals with their natural dyes in orange and ochre depicting myths and legends livening up large stretches of walls.

And then of course the stunning sea views..the best things in life are often free… Palm trees, sun-kissed hair, ocean breeze,  that endless summer….

You can choose between garden facing or sea facing rooms. The resort has two restaurants:

Café Samsara, with a breathtaking ocean view and global cuisines.

Essence, the speciality restaurant,  perched on a cliff.

Madira is the bar  that boasts a panoramic view of the ocean. Enjoy sinful cocktails as you watch a Kalari performance.
